SHOULDER PAIN
Shoulder pain is a common complaint, especially in senior citizens and people having desk jobs with long computer screen time. There is usually pain associated with restriction of some movements. It is more common in patients with diabetes and hypothyroidism.
The usual conditions causing shoulder pain are:
Shoulder impingement with bursitis
Frozen shoulder
Rotator cuff tears
Labral tears
Biceps tendinitis
The majority of these conditions heal with physiotherapy exercises and medications, in a few cases surgery is needed.
